A new drone video has Disney and Star Wars fans buzzing about the latest in American theme park news. Recently Disney announced their big plans to create a Star Wars inspired land at Disney’s California Adventure Park located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Billed as the largest theme park expansion in Disneyland’s history, this new 14-acre land will transport guests to a mythical planet brimming with droids, humanoids, and other Star Wars favorites.
The highly immersive Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be divided into two distinct sections. Guests will enter Galaxy’s Edge and step into the planet of Batuu. The first area will be devoted to the story of the First Order, while the second part will focus on the Resistance. Along with the thrilling Millenium Falcon attraction, the detailed land will also feature unique shopping and dining opportunities and chances to meet and interact with the most beloved Star Wars characters. Disneyland is also opening its first hotel in almost 20 years, announcing that an on-property Star Wars themed resort will welcome guests into its immersive 400-room experience. The resort will be adjacent to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, making it easy for guests to seamlessly travel between both immersive experiences.
Disneyland isn’t the only Disney theme park to experience the Star Wars treatment. Disney World, located near Orlando, Florida, will also receive a Star Wars land at the Disney Hollywood Studios park in 2019.
