Years before Cassio Audi obtained his BA degree in Business Administration and became a financial executive in his home country of Brazil, he was a member of the band Viper, which was the first group to introduce the Heavy Metal music genre to that area. He was only a teenager when he joined the band and became its drummer in the mid 1980s. While he was with Viper, they gained a lot of popularity and admiration after the release of their first album Soldiers of Sunrise. Some of the group’s most memorable songs were Wings of the Evil and Knights of Destruction.
Although Heavy Metal music was not very well-known or played back then in the Latin American country, all the teen members of the group listened to and was influenced by British Heavy Metal bands like Iron Maiden, and this became their inspiration for starting their own group and bringing this genre to the region. Cassio Audi left Viper in 1989 right after the band reached success, and he went on to attend Pontifical Catholic University and study for a career in the business industry. He also earned an MBA degree at Sao Paulo University.
Cassio Audi made many achievements in business and further advanced in his successful corporate career to become a well-known Investment Manager and work as a Chief Financial Officer at such companies as Brookfield Brazil Real Estate Partners and JP Morgan Chase. In addition to being dedicated to his work, he will always consider himself to be a member of his former Heavy Metal band. He and the other remaining original members of Viper continue to be friends to this day, and they all get together from time to time to put on a concert in their hometown of Sao Paulo for loyal fans who have supported their music throughout the decades and more
