Joe Walsh Launches New Charity VetsAid with All-Star Show Announcement

Joe Walsh lost his father at the tender age of 20 months old while on active duty as a flight instructor in Okinawa, Japan. Instead of dwelling on the negative of this loss, Walsh turned his loss into a positive act by assisting with charities for veterans throughout the years. Even offering free guitar lessons to the wounded veterans at the Walter Reed Medical Center.

Now, years later, Joe Walsh as formed his own non-profit which will assist with the funding of veterans nationwide, providing the physical, mental, and emotional support that is so needed to the soldiers as well as their families. This non-profit is called “VetsAid.”

War takes its toll of everyone involved, especially the soldiers and the families that lose their loved ones. Joe Walsh wants to take his love and talent for music and put a positive spin on things by creating an annual event, in which the proceeds will help to bring a bit of happiness into the lives of those who fight for our freedom. The first concert will be on September 20th, 2017, at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA. So far, such performers as Zac Brown Band, Gary Clark Jr., and Keith Urban are all set to perform along with Joe Walsh.

Rock and Roll has been here for many years and music is the oldest form of communication. With the forming of VetsAid, along with the public’s love for music, this non-profit group of musicians should bring a lot of funds to a very well-deserved group of individuals.
