Los Angeles has long been known as a mecca for entertainment, but now, it is giving other big cities a run for their money as a food favorite with cuisines from all over the world. Eater.com recently placed a spotlight on the 12 best New Restaurants in America. LA’s new Felix Trattoria made the list.
This Venice hotspot is in a renovated 1920s building (complete with floral wallpaper). Reservations in the main dining area can be tough, but rest assured, there is a sunny bar out front where you can enjoy the Italian delicacies and people watching. With pasta made on site, amazing small plates, and great desserts, a night at Felix Trattoria will compliment any trip to LA.
A short walk from LA’s famed Venice Beach, you can spend an afternoon enjoying the shops, body builders, and culture of Venice Beach – then head over to an early dinner (Felix Trattoria opens at 5:30). A short walk through the neighborhoods nearby will take you to homes used in the TV Show Californication. Located in the in demand “Abbot Kinney Marketplace” (the coolest block in America), spend time walking this one mile road (starting at the Pacific Ocean) and stop in at one of the many trend-setting, sophisticated stores. Enjoy the laid back Venice vibe before a dinner at one of LA’s newest dining experiences.
