The Food and Wine Festival opened March 2nd at Disney’s California Adventure park. Although it is smaller than its Walt Disney World counterpart, many guests find the festival a fun event.
This year, the festival offers food kiosks such as Strawberry Patch, Avocado Time, Nuts About Cheese and Uncork California. Disneyland’s website offers more information on the various kiosks and their menus.
The Kingswell Camera Shop on Buena Vista Street offers a Sip and Savor Pass for Annual Passholders. This deal is $45 and includes a special lanyard and 8 coupons, which are redeemable for select food and beverage items. Annual Passholders can also receive a complimentary collectible button.
During weekend evenings, a culinary demonstration will take place. The demonstration is free to watch for all visitors, but a VIP package is offered for $30 per person. The VIP Package includes reserved seating, and a sample of the demonstrated dish. Packages can be reserved on Disneyland’s website, along with other special ticketed events.
For kids, a Jr. Chef event is offered. Children aged 3-11 can join Chef Goofy in baking a delicious treat. The event is free, and is offered several times throughout the day. It is a first-come, first-served event.
Exclusive merchandise is also available this year, including t-shirts, aprons and potholders. Mice Chat has a blog post featuring pictures of the different merchandise.
The Food and Wine Festival will remain at Disney’s California Adventure until Thursday, April 12.
