Kenneth Goodgame is a prominent Operations Management (OM) leader who specializes in creating multi-million dollar OEM excellence for organizations. He is also a merchandising and innovative strategist with a rationalized financial oversight. Kenneth obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Tennessee.
His career began at Hardline D28 Product Merchant where he was responsible for managing all purchases for outdoor garden category, pricing, line reviews, assortments and general management at the store. In 1999, Kenneth worked with John Deere, conceiving, negotiating and executing the first nationwide deal to manufacture and sell to consumers, tractors and mowers under Scott Brand. He was also the brand manager for Husky and Workforce lines where he improved the growth margin return on investment by 43%.
In 1994, he was employed at the Home Depot, Atlanta serving as the Senior Global Product Merchant. Here, he led procurements, initiated and executed deals with Toro branded equipment. At Home Depot, he increased sales by 11%, improved growth margin return on investment (GMROI) by 300 points and generated revenues of over $18 million thanks to his execution of functional rebates for the company’s power equipment engine.
Between 2002 and 2007, Kenneth Goodgame worked in various companies including Newell Rubbermaid, Bernzomatic, and Rubbermaid Cleaning. At Rubbermaid Cleaning, he turned around a deteriorating $170 million consumer cleaning start-up into one of the fastest growing enterprise by securing a multi-million dollar contract worth $30 million with Walmart within a single year of hire. He achieved 95% increase in growth with Bernzomatic by unveiling more product lines, consolidating $40 m in sales in his first operation year with the company.
In 2013, Kenneth became the Senior Vice President and the Chief Marketing Officer at True Value Hardware Corporation in Chicago. Here has been managing profit and loss for roughly $2.2 in global purchases. He did this by replacing 40% low performing buyers and created a high-energetic and zealous team attitude with broad product expertise. He also created a successful stock keeping unit (SKU) that supported over 2,800 stores. This became the most successful program according to store participants.
